I wouldn't buy them for a grand. Better ones will come along.
In fact, I'd hold out for 604-8H. Or late G's with the manta horn.
And I don't think any alnico needs to be remagged unless it has been abused or dropped.

They ARE overpriced. A pristine pair should fetch c 1600-2000 US$.
I'd get Alnico recharged, cant hurt, especially in c 40-50 yo units. IMHO.
